This is the extended version of the George branch of my family tree- we're not 100% sure about these, since people moving from one place to another may have messed up and confused us.

We have, with certianty, traced our lineage back to William George, born in 1807, in Tipton, Staffordshire. On a full list of Georges born in Tipton from 1573 to 1837 (hopefully, it's complete), there are NO Georges born in Tipton before 1765, when Joseph and Ann celebrate the birth of their son, William. Their family (as I interperet the data, at least) is:

Joseph and Ann
1 William (1765, married Elizabeth)
1..1 Sarah (1790)
1..2 Joseph (1792, married Mary (Mary Ann?))
1..2..1 Elizabeth (1814)
1..2..2 William (1817, d 1820)
1..2..3 Joseph (1819, d 1822)
1..2..4 Mary Ann (1821)
1..2..5 Joseph (1824)
1..2..6 Betsey (1825)
1..2..7 William (1828)
1..2..8 Sarah Ann (1830)
1..2..9 Joseph (1833)
1..2..10 Matilda (1835)
1..3 William (1795, married Ann)
1..3..1 William (1812)
1..3..2 Abraham (1813)
1..4 John (1797)
1..5 Samuel (1800)
2 Abraham (1770, married Ann)
2..1 Abel (1792, married Elizabeth)
2..1..1 Mary Maria (1814)
2..1..2 Abraham (1822)
2..2 Sophia (1799)
2..2..1 Joseph (1822, base son)
2..3 Abraham (1802)
2..4 William (1807, married Jane)
2..4..1 James (1826)
2..4..2 William (1829)
2..4..3 Richard Henry (1833)
2..4..4 Alfred (1835)
2..5 Ann (1811)
3 Edwd. (1774, presumably Edward)
4 Edward (1782, presumably the first one did not survive)

Although other George families appear in the registry, this is the major one. We can't say for sure if our William was the one who was born in 1812 (1..3..1), since there are two men named William George in Tipton, having children with their wife Ann, from 1835 to 1837. Presumably one of them is Mr. 1.3.1, but we don't know which one.
